To renew your membership Sign In to the website with your user name and password on the right side of the screen. Go to "My Profile", select "Membership Info", then select "Securely renew your membership now".
TSMSS Membership Types
Active ($65) - Anyone who has the responsibility for or is a student of administrative support/coordination of medical staff services for a health related institution. Active members are eligible to vote and to serve as a TSMSS officer or director.
Affiliate ($175) - Any business, firm, or corporation that produces products or services related to duties or activities of active members. Corporate members have one vote and are entitled to all benefits of membership except serving as a TSMSS officer or director.
Facility - Organization ($65 each for 1-2 Members, $60 each for 3-4 Members, $55 each for 5-6 Members, $50 each for 7+ Members) - Facilities may purchase active memberships for a group of employees. Qualification for a facility membership include:
- Same facility (not system)
- Same physical address
- Dues for all individuals from the facility must be paid with one check or one credit card at the same time.
Prospective Members: If you are joining as a new Active Member between January through June, your membership will last until the end of the current calendar year. If you are joining from July through December, your membership will last until the end of the following calendar year. Example:

The medical staff professional (MSP) is the individual in the hospital charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the hospital and medical staff comply with regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. The MSP interprets standards and implements change. The MSP is the liaison between the hospital administration, the medical staff organization and the governing body. The medical staff professional is the individual who possesses the knowledge and skills required to efficiently manage the medical staff office, coordinate the medical staff activities and provide follow-up required of the medical staff. The MSP is an expert at credentialing, assisting medical staff in assuring the hospital that only currently competent applicants are recommended for medical staff membership. The MSP is an invaluable resource to the staff and administration in understanding and applying the standards that the medical staff must meet.
