The medical staff professional (MSP) is the individual in the hospital charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the hospital and medical staff comply with regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. The MSP interprets standards and implements change. The MSP is the liaison between the hospital administration, the medical staff organization and the governing body. The medical staff professional is the individual who possesses the knowledge and skills required to efficiently manage the medical staff office, coordinate the medical staff activities and provide follow-up required of the medical staff. The MSP is an expert at credentialing, assisting medical staff in assuring the hospital that only currently competent applicants are recommended for medical staff membership. The MSP is an invaluable resource to the staff and administration in understanding and applying the standards that the medical staff must meet.

TSMSS Membership Renewal

Membership renewals for TSMSS are mailed to all members in October. Remember, if your dues have not been paid by March 1, you are dropped from membership. If you have any questions or have not receive a membership renewal form by late October, please contact TSMSS at vikki@tsmss.org.
